My Approach to Helping
I have a masters degree in both Education and Social Work. I am very solution oriented, and work to provide tools to enhance my clients lives. I don't believe in "a one technique fits all people" approach. Everyone is unique and that needs to be taken into account when exploring how to bring about self acceptance, growth and change.
Tools can include anything from reading material; visual imagery and music; poetry; making a collage or homework that my clients can grow from. Looking at the family that you came from, what to hold onto, and what to let go of; and having clients establish and reach their goals with support and guidance from our work together is very effective! I also provide clients with many needed resources in the community to help them reach their goals.
I have worked with many clients with various legal problems and supported them in their process.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
Working with clients is an amazingly positive process. I see people shed the ideas and behaviors that don't improve their lives; develop strength, self esteem and conviction to enhance their joy in living. If people are willing to commit to doing the work, change is inevitable!
