My Approach to Helping
Life’s journey will surprise us with twists, unexpected paths, and roadblocks. As your therapist, my goal is to create a warm, supportive and non-judgmental environment where you will feel empowered to navigate through the life challenges that are bringing you down. You are the expert on you! I’ll meet you where your needs are. Then my job is to support you and implement the tools that will best help you find relief from your pain. Whether you are feeling anxious, depressed, struggling with a life transition, grieving a loss, or looking to make positive changes in your life; I’m here to help you heal and grow.
Using your personal story and personal strengths, I will help you identify and fine tune the tools that you already have. I’ll also teach you a variety of skills from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness based self compassion to help you grow and foster healing.
I’m an empathetic, holistic clinician and promote self-compassion and grace. In sessions, I’m flexible and collaborative so your needs and preferences can be met. Together, we can identify and create a better you encompassing growth, positivity, and health.
