My Approach to Helping

I truly believe that counseling has the power to transform lives, touching every facet of your existence. But to truly experience this change, you deserve a counselor whom you trust and feel at ease with. However, I understand that taking that first step toward counseling can feel overwhelming. That’s why I’m here to make it as comfortable and welcoming as possible for you.

In our sessions, we’ll work together to uncover your strengths and use them to build a happier, healthier life. My goal is to help you gain personal insights, learn new skills, and ultimately improve your overall well-being. I like to approach our work with a mix of problem-solving and humor, using relatable examples and fresh ideas to enrich your experience.

I’m dedicated to providing you with the best, evidence-based treatments out there. As someone who’s always learning, I make sure to stay up-to-date on the latest therapy techniques to better serve you. Your treatment will be carefully personalized to fit your unique needs, drawing from a range of proven methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Client-Centered Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

Outside of counseling, I treasure time with my wife and son. I also enjoy music, movies, books, the outdoors, and sports.

It’s truly an honor when clients choose to join me on this journey, and I hold that privilege in the highest regard. I’m excited about the opportunity to work alongside you as you navigate your path to growth and healing.

More Info About My Practice

The counseling experience should be comfortable, effective, and frustration free. Finding a therapist that is a good fit can be frustrating. Because I realize that, I will be happy to answer any questions you have before making your first appointment. I do this to help make the process a little easier for you.

I am located in an easy to get to location near downtown Wheaton. I am currently offering both in person and telehealth (phone or secure video chat) sessions. Appointments are offered on weekdays, evenings, and weekends. I am happy to check your insurance benefits before you commit to coming to help make sure that there are no surprises. I will also submit all of your claims to the insurance company for your convenience. Deciding to come to therapy can be stressful in itself, so I strive to make the process as stress free as I can.
