I provide individual psychotherapy to children and adolescents, with ongoing collaboration with their parents. I consider how important it is to integrate the information from patients, teachers, and pediatricians. The goal is to help each child identify their strengths, passions, and work through situations with success.
For over twenty years, I have worked with children and adolescents in psychotherapy, public and private schools, hospitals, research settings, and residential facilities. I treat children, adolescents, and their families involving attentional issues, oppositional behavioral problems, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, depression, crisis intervention, parent training, social skills training, behavior management, school consultation, school avoidance/refusal, childhood trauma and abuse, and learning disabilities. I utilize methods that are active, directive, and educative.
I am a graduate of Colgate University and received my Psy.D. from New York University. I am a certified school psychologist, elementary teacher, and special educator. I enjoy using my skills to help address learning and behavior problems that interfere with academic and social development.
