I hold a Master of Science from Columbia University and Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley. It was my own life experience that led me to become a psychotherapist. Perhaps because of this my patients often report feeling understood in a way they'd not expected. I believe you'll find I bring warmth, understanding, humor and maturity to our every session. I see each patient as a unique individual with a complex biological and psychological history, yet one whose life is built upon a myriad of relationships. I believe that above all else, we are social beings and seek connection to others; all emotional healing occurs within the context of relationships – whether in the therapeutic relationship in which we will engage, your intimate partner relationship, within your family, in enduring friendships or, ideally, in combination of each of these. It’s my belief that our emotions, mood, ability to genuinely connect with others and our sense of connection with our physical body are the result of many factors. We are the sum total of countless memories and sensations (some remembered, others suppressed), how we learned as children to attach emotionally to those with whom we were closest, and the interplay of these as they interact with our genetic predispositions. In your treatment, I will utilize a blend of the most transformative therapies I have studied over the years that speak to this complex interface of factors. Together let's find a path to a healthier life, one guided by wisdom gained from a better understanding of our past, as we pursue a future with a greater sense of well-being.
A decision to seek therapy is often made on the heels of a crisis. The crisis could be emotional, physical or chemical.Through an eclectic approach to healing I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is at the forefront of today's therapeutic practices. additional modalities of therapy include trans personal therapy, which focuses on healing by going beyond the physical self. This was known as a Jungian approach where access to the higher consciousness becomes a portal for healing. In this approach we work together to integrate your own mind body spirit wisdom or higher self with person centered therapy to guide the healing process. I have been a clinician for over 30 years. In addition to traditional psychotherapy I may incorporate Spiritual Intuitive Counseling, Mediumship and various Energy Healing modalities. I am a certified hypnotherapist and Reiki Practitioner. I have been been certified in Past Life Regression hypnotherapy, by Dr. Brian Weiss, Psychiatrist and Author of the best selling book, Many Lives, Many Masters.

Parents are faced with decisions on how to discipline, manage, and foster your childs physical, social, and emotional well-being. I believe growth is not always comfortable, and difficulty does not automatically mean something is wrong. In therapy, I help clients become curious about the patterns, fears, beliefs, and old roles that may be keeping them stuck. Sometimes the obstacle is not a sign to turn around—it is the place where the deeper work begins. We may explore the boundary you are afraid to set, the grief you have postponed, the truth you have softened, the relationship pattern that keeps repeating, or the part of you that still confuses familiarity with safety. I used to think of transformation as the butterfly—the beautiful ending, the freedom, the moment when everything finally makes sense. But transformation is often the part before that. It is the cocoon. It is the dark, uncomfortable, sometimes messy work of making sense of our fortunes and misfortunes, our desires and doubts, our losses, fears, and old ways of surviving. Real change may ask us to sit with discomfort before we feel relief. To grieve what we are leaving behind before we know what comes next. To question beliefs we have carried for years and recognize that what once protected us may now be limiting us. My approach is collaborative, reflective, and practical. I help clients understand where their patterns came from, what those patterns once protected them from, and whether they are still serving them now. The goal is not to force change or pretend healing is easy. It is to help you move through the uncomfortable places with greater awareness, self-trust, and intention—so you can become the person you are ready to become and build a life based on what you choose, rather than only on what you learned to survive.
