My Approach to Helping
Therapy can be like "a spa for the mind." Sure, it's difficult to take time out of a busy schedule to focus on yourself. Looking into the mirror may feel frightening. "What if I'm diagnosed with a disorder or told that I'm really 'crazy'? What if my biggest fears about myself are confirmed?"
Once you meet me, I think you'll realize that's not what I'm about at all. I'm very non-judgmental and accepting, and one of my goals for each of my clients is to be compassionate towards themselves. By expressing those fears, you learn that instead of tearing you down, good therapy helps you identify and build upon your strengths to become your best self.
Every aspect of your life becomes more manageable when you have the right emotional support: decision-making, communicating with others, understanding what you feel and why, and dealing with feelings that interrupt an otherwise happy life. Having the right perspective makes everyday life experiences so much more enjoyable.
If you need help standing up for yourself, resolving inner conflict, dealing with anxiety, depression and insecurity, or improving relationships with a significant other, family or friends, let's talk about it.
