My Approach to Helping

Therapy can be scary! I am inspired by my clients who face those fears head on and are willing to do the work.

Many difficulties stem from relationships, whether that be with others or the one we have with ourselves. My work with individuals and couples is direct yet warm, empathetic, and understanding as we navigate together how to process the blocks that can obstruct your view and ability to move forward. My clients can expect to explore life events from the past as patterns of behavior emerge in the here-and-now. As this self-awareness begins to develop, clients can often lead more joyful and connected lives. I cater each session according to that unique individual (or couplefamily) using real-life examples and the material you provide to deepen your own understanding of YOU.

I have experience working with adults, couples, & teens that struggle with anxiety, depression, communication, trauma, loss, chronic illness, and perhaps have reached an impasse with moving forward within a career, relationship, or other life events. Individuality and diversity are paramount and I welcome those that might be described as outside the box.

Choosing the right therapist can be challenging, so let’s schedule a free 20 minute meet & greet consultation to see if you feel like the connection is there. There is no better time than now to get started.

Groups I Work With

I work with many types of people and have an emphasis on creative & artistic individuals involved in the film, television, music, art, or freelance & self-employed communities. I spent twenty years working my way up in the ladder of corporate America and have strong empathy for those facing a big life change or struggling to fit in, with strong attachment to all members of my personal LGBTQIA+ community. The couples I work with are struggling with communication, life transitions, parenting, and more and I am also open to working with all couples, including those from the CNM (consensual non monogamous), LGBTQIA+, pre-marital, marital, anti-marital, and post-marital backgrounds. I am also trained in EMDR, a specialized form of trauma therapy originally developed for combat veterans traumatized by what they saw on the battlefield and proven to be effective in reprocessing and desensitizing traumatic events with a specific treatment protocol.
