What's My Approach to Therapy?

If you’re feeling stuck caught in worry, self-doubt, anxiety, or patterns you can’t seem to break you’re not alone. Maybe what used to work isn’t working anymore, and you’re tired of carrying it all by yourself. Reaching out can feel like a big step. You don’t have to have the perfect words or a clear plan to start.

I work best with thoughtful, motivated people who want real change, even if you’re unsure where to begin. My role is to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing, identify what’s keeping you trapped, and build a path forward that feels practical, meaningful, and aligned with who you are.

In our sessions, I draw from evidence-based approaches like ACT, CBT, CPT, ERP, EMDR, and hypnosis but therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. We’ll slow things down, get curious about your patterns, and develop tools you can actually use: handling strong emotions, changing unhelpful loops, building flexibility with your thoughts, and making decisions based on your values instead of fear.

I aim to create a space that feels clear, supportive, and real. You’ll get compassion and direction. If you’re ready to start, I’d be glad to meet you where you are.

My Therapy Focus

Imagine being in a boat that isn?t stuck because of a storm or broken sails, but because of quiet, heavy anchors old beliefs, painful memories, intense emotions, rigid patterns, or fear of the unknown. Those anchors often formed for a reason. They may have protected you once. But over time, they can keep you from moving toward the life you want: connection, purpose, and peace.

In our work together, we?ll gently explore what?s holding you back not to force change, but to understand it, loosen its grip, and create space for something new. I use metaphors often because they help make sense of complicated inner experiences and make change feel more doable.

We?ll draw from what we know about the mind and brain, using tools like acceptance, mindful awareness, and committed action so you can stop fighting your thoughts and start showing up for what matters.

This isn?t about fixing you. It?s about helping you reconnect with yourself and taking the next step with more freedom and intention.

Groups I Work With

    I help adults navigate:

Anxiety – generalized, social, and panic

    Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

    Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

    Depression

    Post-Traumatic Stress (PTSD)

    Relationship and interpersonal challenges

Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs) such as hair-pulling and skin-picking

Chronic pain – the psychological and emotional side of living with pain

Insomnia – together we target the thoughts, behaviors, and patterns that interfere with restful sleep and replace them with healthy sleep habits

Parenting stressors – from everyday hurdles to complex behavioral concerns

I also partner with motivated people who simply want meaningful change in their personal or professional lives.

Using evidence-based approaches—Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Clinical Hypnosis—we’ll create a supportive, collaborative space where you build resilience, strengthen inner resources, and develop practical skills to face challenges and foster lasting growth and well-being.
