My Approach to Therapy

You may work hard to live well and to be there for the people who count on you. From the outside, things may look fine. Inside, you may feel tired, anxious, distracted, stuck in your thoughts, or quietly unsure whether the way you are living is actually yours. You may think carefully, care deeply, and still wonder whether this is the life you mean to be living. I see therapy as a place to slow down and look at your life honestly, without pressure or performance. Together, we will pay attention to how you spend your days, what you believe about yourself and other people, and where your actions may have drifted away from your values. My work often centers on a few honest questions: What would a good life actually look like for you? Where are you living out of fear, habit, or avoidance rather than choice? From there, we look for small, workable changes in how you think, act, and relate, so that over time your life feels steadier, clearer, and more like your own.

My Practice & Services

I work mostly with high-functioning adults who are carrying a full load across work, relationships, family, and personal responsibility. Many of my clients are dealing with anxiety, OCD, ADHD, trauma, stress, insomnia, depression, relationship strain, or major life transitions. I offer individual therapy, couples therapy, and consultation, with a style that is thoughtful, direct, collaborative, and practical. Sessions are usually weekly or every other week. I will be honest with you while staying respectful and engaged. I draw from evidence-based approaches, but therapy with me is not a rigid protocol. We will focus on what is actually happening in your life and what helps you move forward. I currently see clients over secure telehealth in California, Colorado, Florida, Minnesota, and Washington. I keep communication clear from the start, including scheduling, fees, and what to expect in the first few sessions. If you are unsure whether we are a good fit, we can begin with a brief consultation.

My Therapy Focus

I value honesty, kindness, and practicality. I want therapy to feel like a real conversation, not a performance. We will stay close to what is actually happening in your life and look for small, realistic steps that move you toward something that feels more deliberate and your own.

Groups I Work With

I work with adults, high-achieving professionals, parents, couples, and people navigating major life transitions. Many of my clients are dealing with anxiety, OCD, intrusive thoughts, compulsive patterns, ADHD, depression, trauma, stress, insomnia, relationship problems, communication difficulties, parenting stress, work stress, burnout, perfectionism, self-doubt, and difficulty feeling present in their own lives. I also work with adults struggling with body-focused repetitive behaviors, including hair pulling, skin picking, and other repetitive habits, as well as people coping with chronic pain, sleep problems, health anxiety, panic, avoidance, emotional overwhelm, and patterns of overthinking. Some clients come to therapy with a clear diagnosis, while others are looking for personal growth, greater meaning, better relationships, or a more intentional way of living. My practice includes individual therapy, couples therapy, and consultation. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, CBT-I for insomnia, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, and clinical hypnosis when appropriate. My work is collaborative, practical, and grounded in evidence-based care.
