My Approach to Helping
If you are reading these profiles right now, it's because you feel stuck. Life can be hard and sometimes we need another person to listen and help guide us in a direction. I am a caring and empathetic (but tough) person that has years of both clinical and life experience that can be invaluable to your situation. My education, family and interests have shaped who I am and given me insight into what it takes to be successful. My specific style of therapy combines logic and emotions to help you find the answers you need to move forward. It has been proven to work exceptionally well for both children and adults.
More Info About My Practice
Aaron believes that counseling is a powerful tool that helps you find solutions to life’s struggles. He believes that healthy marriages take work and that we all need help from time to time. He understands how stress and anxiety can impact a family as well as an individual. Aaron’s varied experiences in life (backpacking, camping, and auto racing) have taught him to look at how each part of a group impacts the other parts. Open communication and changing the small snags when they happen can prevent larger problems...
Then there is the unexpected. When that happens, it's important to step back and evaluate your options. That's where he shines as a therapist. The majority of Aaron’s professional and volunteer experiences are working with adolescent youth and their families. He has spent time kayaking the rivers of North Georgia with at-risk-youth, leading small groups in classrooms, providing individual counseling sessions and giving professional presentations. He is also an amateur race car driver and restoration enthusiast, focusing on long distance automotive rally racing.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
If you are still not sure about beginning therapy, give us a call and set up a free consultation. This can take place on the phone or in our office. One of the biggest indicators of successful treatment is the quality of the therapeutic relationship(between us). After we initially meet, we can decide how you would like to proceed. We can either book an appointment, or I can help you find someone who is a better fit for your needs. Either way, I am happy to help guide you towards your best options.
