My Approach to Helping
Life has its ups and downs and it can be easy to feel stuck on a roller coaster of emotions. It’s common to feel and think that no one else can understand your struggle. Working collaboratively though, can help build a solid therapeutic relationship and progress towards the goals you want to achieve. I have worked with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflicts and coping with everyday life stressors including life transitions.
Realizing that one form of therapy may not fit all, I employ an integrative approach. I work from a CBT and person-centered framework while utilizing various techniques to better understand a client’s worldview in order to facilitate them on their journey towards their wellbeing. Being South Asian, I also understand the importance of different culture perspectives and navigating life based on client values and beliefs.
