Fees: I am an out-of-network provider for: Aetna, Cigna, First Choice (some plans) and HMA/RGA. I offer a sliding fee scale and my professional rates are: $30 - $185. There is a discount if you wish to pay the fee at the time of service, rather than utilize your insurance. I offer a free 15 minute initial phone consultation.

I am an affiliate of Northwest Family Life agency, a network of counselors committed to our mission of assisting individuals and families in finding hope and healing when facing the pain of domestic violence, trauma and related issues. We are a 50(c)3 non-profit dedicated to providing education and therapy within Washington State. I accept several types of insurance, am an out of network provider for others, and have a sliding fee scale for my private therapy practice.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Counseling today is more focused on assisting people to learn new coping skills that are meaningful to them and to utilize them in their day to day lives. Rather than just meeting for an hour a week, our goal is to provide you the tools to successfully implement these new skills in your relationships, communications, and use them to move your life into positive new directions. Psychotherapy is a supportive, nurturing environment where you can express your feelings, process trauma experiences safely, and be encouraged and motivated to move forward in life. My goals for our therapeutic relationship should feel comfortable, safe, and empowering for you.

What I Usually Need to Know to Help

First, we take the time to do a thorough psycho-social assessment and learn more about your history, background, family, and what issues you are seeking to address. We will also discuss your goals for therapy and what you wish to accomplish. Typically, we may utilize evidenced-based, best practice mental health evaluations for depression, anxiety, or other issues to allow us to see where you are at and the progress that you are making over time. It is important to to recognize the positive changes that are being made, find what works for you individually, and redefine our goals as progress is achieved. Therapy is a growing and learning process for positive support and reinforcement for day to day living skills to enhance your life.
