I take pride in creating an atmosphere where real growth and change can transpire. In doing so, I like to think of myself as a facilitator of change - helping guide you toward your best. I do not know it all, nor do I purport to know it all. BUT I know what has worked in my own life and the lives of those I have had the honor of working with.

Together, we can create an integrative, solution focused approach to creating the life you want and desire. My promise is, if you show up willing, together, we can create concrete sustainable changes in your life.

You have the strength, courage and motivation within you. I am here to help bring it out more easily. I honor your journey and welcome you to stop in for a visit.

More Info About My Practice

It is my believe that those who have the courage to seek help, should be able to find quality, affordable assistance. This is why I offer a sliding scale for my services. Most sessions are $50 - $75 per session, based on need.

I am on several Employee Assistance Programs and will take some insurances. Please note, however, anything that is billed under insurance will stay with you for life. It also requires me to make a diagnosis which may follow you for life. I would prefer to work out a payment arrangement that works for you to avoid this.

I also offer several low cost clinics which can be found on my website to help you afford solution focused assistance on a short-term basis.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

I know what it is like to have a negative therapeutic experience. I have been there personally. I have also worked and supervised wounded healers professionally. The reality is we all go into this field for a reason. Some of us have chosen to show up and do the work ourselves. Other think if they help others, their lives will change. I am not here to judge.

What works for one person, may not work for another. This is okay. I invite you to move beyond the negative experience. After all, if you are here, it is for a reason. Check out other counselors, interview them, then decide if you want to work with that counselor.

We all come from varied experiences, educational backgrounds and operate from different models. Maybe you just need to find someone who you can relate to more deeply to get what you need. Do not let a negative experience keep you from getting what you want!

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I grew up in a home that was difficult more often than it was good. I was abused, physically, mentally, emotionally and sexually. I was bullied and teased. I contemplated suicide on more than one occasion. I was a negative person who engaged in high risk behavior. This led me to become an out-of-control-teenager and young adult. As a result, I dropped out of school, engaged in many illegal activities and hit rock bottom. It took many years of growth and change, internally and externally, to build, grow and expand. What I realized is that I went through unimaginable things that no one should have to endure, BUT, I was still here, LIVING, and I had the ability to create a new life for myself. It took a lot of work but I SURVIVED and now I live a life that I love. This is why I got into this profession. So I can help others do the same!
