My Approach to Helping
Are you struggling with upsetting thoughts, feelings, or bodily sensations? Does your attention get pulled around by this stuff, like a cat chasing a laser pointer? Do you criticize yourself for having these experiences and wonder what they mean about you? I bet you've tried your best to cope - doing whatever you can to think or feel better. Maybe you distract yourself with responsibilities - or lets be real, your phone. Maybe you opt out of doing things and spending time with people - or just go through the motions. Yet, despite your best efforts, you only get temporary relief. And your life has started to feel smaller and smaller.
I specialize in treating anxiety, OCD, and depression. I can't promise to get rid of your unpleasant thoughts and feelings, but I can help you - by providing a non-judgemental presence and by introducing you to evidence-based skills - learn new ways of relating to this upsetting stuff, so that they have less of an impact on you and how you live your life.
