I love my job and there is not a day that I don't feel humbled and inspired by the people I work with. My strength is that I make it comfortable and natural to sit with me and to talk about what you need to move forward more productively and with more emotional engagement in life. I am honest and straight forward with you and while we are discovering all of this, we are walking down that path side by side.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love people and believe completely that we all have our stories to tell, but to really understand those stories, we need to challenge assumptions we've made along the way. We all have a front, one that we feel safe telling people, however, it's what you are not able to say, that isn't in that "front" that most of what we need, hope, fear, wish lives. That's why I love being a psychotherapist. I love the process of unfolding that can happen in the therapy room. As soon as people feel comfortable and safe, so much more is possible. I am listening to you as you speak and will let you know what I'm hearing that you are not saying and this process can be life changing for both of us.
My Therapy Focus
As your therapist, I believe in inspiring my clients to approach their own experience in the world seriously. I will challenge you specifically to take responsibility for the way choose to lead your life. Successful therapy does not simply stop with such awareness itself, but when the therapist encourages the individual to take actions on the foundation of the insights they cultivate through the process of therapy. During our sessions, clients must decide what anxieties, fears and feelings of guilt they will examine. When people feel helpless and try to persuade themselves that they are helpless, they will ultimately be reminded that their path toward freedom initiated by incrementally putting one foot in front of the other to arrive at the therapy office. Beginning this journey necessitates that we be shaken and touched by what we discover along the path and by working through life mysteries and uncertainties, we will progress beyond our own sadness and preoccupations toward a fresh outlook on life.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
For some people, going to a therapist means there is some personality flaw and they feel broken. But I view this very differently. Those that have the strength to go to therapy represent oftentimes, the most healthy and, insightful people because they are willing and have the courage to seek help and to be vulnerable. Those are my kind of people.
