What's My Approach to Therapy?
You’ve probably spent a lot of time trying to figure things out on your own. You think deeply, care deeply, and keep pushing forward, but it often feels like something inside won’t settle. You’ve pushed through the anxiety, the overthinking, the constant drive to do more and be more, but underneath, you’re tired. Not the kind of tired that rest can fix, but the kind that comes from always managing, anticipating, and striving.
You want to feel grounded again. To stop questioning yourself, to stop replaying the same patterns in relationships, and to stop feeling like you have to be “on” all the time. Perhaps something in your life has shifted: a relationship, a loss, or a version of yourself that no longer fits.
I view our work together as a collaborative investigation into your inner world, exploring how your history, beliefs, and protective patterns shape the way you feel and relate today. Our work extends beyond surface-level coping to uncover the root causes of your struggles, allowing patterns to be understood, dismantled, and transformed into lasting change.
My style is direct, compassionate, and deeply curious. I pay attention to the stories you tell, the themes that repeat, the parts of you that feel in conflict, and the ways your body responds when specific topics come up. Together, we start to connect the dots between past experiences, current triggers, and the roles you’ve taken on, creating a clearer map of what keeps you stuck and what’s ready to shift.
Clinically, I work from a depth-oriented, integrative lens. I draw from eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness, attachment- and trauma-informed approaches, and somatic awareness to work not just with your thoughts, but with your emotions, body, and nervous system. Insight is essential, but it’s not the end point; we’ll also look at how to integrate that awareness into the choices you make, the boundaries you set, and the way you relate to yourself and others.
