My Approach to Helping
My treatment approach prioritizes interventions that increase resilience, bravery, and the power of choice. While also incorporating behavioral health techniques that help promote long-term mental and physical well-being. The majority of my individual patients struggle with chronic symptoms of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship distress, and an array of related physical ailments. These are my core areas of expertise. I have also worked extensively with anxious teens and their families, providing education and concrete tools that help alleviate distress caused by anxiety and related issues. I specialize in using evidenced-based integrative approaches to treatment including Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) and Exposure Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
Mental, physical, and social wellness weren't always core values of mine. I lived a significant portion of my life stuck in anxiety, unhealthy relationships, and chronic health issues. It took a deep desire to live my fullest life in order to change. I have devoted much of my adult life to understanding the connections between mind and body, through years of clinical training and education, meditation, yoga, and self-compassion practice.
