My Approach to Helping
My treatment approach prioritizes interventions that increase resilience, bravery, and the power of choice. I utilize evidence-based, skills driven interventions that help clients learn how to take action in their lives in order to achieve the outcomes they are looking for. More specifically, I integrate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailored to my clients personal needs and treatment goals.
My adult and adolescent clients tend to be challenged by life stressors such as work or school demands, goal achievement, navigating relationships, and managing difficult emotions. They experience anxiety and stress as a result, and seek to learn the tools and skills needed to empower their best self and cope more successfully. I specialize in improving emotional well-being, productivity, relationships, and passion for life. While also incorporating mind-body health techniques, like mindfulness, for long term mental and physical well-being.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
Mental, physical, and social wellness weren't always core values of mine. I lived a significant portion of my life stuck in a cycle of anxiety and stress, unhealthy relationships, and chronic health issues. It took a deep desire to live my fullest life in order to change. I have devoted much of my adult life to understanding the connections between mind and body, through years of clinical training and education, meditation, yoga, and self-compassion practice. I do practice what I preach and teach, because I know it works!
