We all face challenges that leave us feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or stuck. Therapy offers you a space to seek compassionate support, while mastering new skills that can help you navigate life's challenges. Therapy means you no longer have to face these challenges alone, and that the same mistakes don't have to continue to haunt you.

I am passionate about supporting my clients in their journey and about making sure they know they have someone in their corner each step of the way. I specialize in working with Highly Sensitive People (HSP). (If you're wondering what this means, check out the HSP page on my website.) As a HSP myself, I am very familiar with both the strengths and limitations this personality trait offers. However, I find that when people start to see themselves and this trait of sensitivity clearly, beautiful shifts start to happen, which can include feeling more accepting and peaceful, having more satisfying relationships and experiencing more happiness and joy.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love working with people and becoming a part of their story. In regular life, I hate small talk, so I LOVE doing work where we get to jump past all the mumbo-jumbo to focus on what really matters. We all desire to live fully and to move beyond pain and suffering. I'm honored that clients trust me enough to share their innermost struggles and that I can offer hope in the midst of pain, provide new experiences and tools, and support them in their growth to becoming happier, healthier people.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

As a highly sensitive person myself, I am all too familiar with the surges of joy and the pangs of sadness that can be part of sensitivity. I am so grateful when I notice a subtle change in the leaf color or the beauty in a cloud formation, and I can be overwhelmed by too much happening in my environment or by taking on the feelings of those around me. In myself or in those I care about, I have witnessed depression, anxiety, loss, heartache, addiction. While none of these experiences have been easy, my life's own ups and downs remind me what a journey life is. We've all faced great joy, bitter disappointment, intense despair, and every emotion in between. I'm constantly reminded to return to the core of who I am, continue pushing ahead, and actively participate in creating the life I want. I'd like to help you do the same! Let's talk more today.
