I welcome those who hold alternative or unique belief systems and those who practice lifestyles of their choosing in my practice. It is my belief that we all have the right to approach life in ways that resonate with our being.
Counseling is a tool that can assist us as we evoke change in our lives, learn how to manage in situations beyond our control, deal with past issues that are affecting us in the present, or simply seek personal growth. My approach is grounded in humanistic philosophy and honors each individual as the expert on his or her own life. Collaboratively, we will identify your goals for counseling and then tailor services to your specific needs, personality, and preferences.
I understand that it may be daunting to face the things that aren't working well in our lives. Often, we have avoided facing matters until our situation has become intolerable. I provide a safe and supportive environment free of judgement as we explore what can no longer be tolerated. I will challenge you in growth-promoting ways when therapeutically appropriate, while consistently maintaining compassion for how difficult it may be for you.
