I see that you are looking for a good therapist...what is your idea of a good therapist? My idea of a good therapist is someone who cares to first understand your reasons for seeking therapy. Someone who is non-judgmental and sensitive to your unique situation. A good therapist is someone who is experienced in the field of psychology and can help you efficiently understand your self better by providing you with a wealth of professional knowledge to help you get through any roadblocks. As my potential new client you will be offered a free 30 min in person consultation in order to learn more about the many ways in which I will be able to help and most importantly for you to decide if I meet your criteria of a good therapist.

More Info About My Practice
I treat people of all ages, my office features a therapeutic playroom to better accommodate the needs of my younger clients. This room offers a variety of tools that enables children to learn new skills, challenge behavioral or emotional problems, and build confidence. Kids may choose from toys, arts and crafts, my popular sand tray, or other therapeutic games.
Virtual Reality Therapy and biofeedback are at the forefront of modern therapy for the treatment of anxiety issues and OCD and I am excited to provide this form of treatment at my practice. Since the virtual reality field is still new. I am currently on the professional expert board and I help the pioneers of VR technology for clinicians by providing them feedback and suggestions in order to better their system.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
ANXIETY / OCD ISSUES: I became highly skilled at treating OCD / Anxiety by managing an intensive evening program for an Anxiety treatment center in a behavioral health hospital. I have seen and treated people with Social Phobia, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic Disorders, Agoraphobia, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Specific Phobias and Separation Anxiety. I treat these issues by using Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Virtual Reality Therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) including Mindfulness, because it is this combo that is currently being viewed as the treatment of choice for the quick and long term relief of anxiety / OCD symptoms.
CHILDREN / ADOLESCENTS ISSUES: Over the years, I have worked my way up to manage a hospital wing in a pediatric hospital dedicated to children with severe emotional and behavioral problems. Aggression, Depression, Low Self Esteem, Attention Deficit, Hyperactivity, Selective Mutism, Lack of Confidence, Peer Conflicts, Issues at Home or at School, Impulsivity, Self Injury, Suicidal ideation, Homicidal Ideation, Psychosis and Autism, are problems I have worked with in the past. It has been rewarding to see children challenge themselves in therapy, find their true potential and eventually leave treatment with a new found skill set and confidence.
