Hello, My name is David Marsten and I am the clinical director at Miracle Mile Community Practice (MM). We offer affordable counseling in a caring environment on a sliding scale basis. We have provided counseling services since 1998 and have worked with local partners (e.g. LA Unified School District, Immanuel Presbyterian Church, The Garment Worker's Center, and Rabbi Jacob Pressman Academy) to develop innovative programming.

But our mainstay has always been our affordable counseling program. We work side-by-side with clients to get at what it is they value most. Rather than taking a hierarchical-diagnostic approach, or measuring people along normative lines (e.g. you're irrational, too angry, non-trusting, defensive, non-assertive, resistant, self-sabotaging, unforgiving, etc.--you know the list), we trust people to determine, for themselves, what is of greatest concern.

We do not know people better than they know themselves. Our questions are intended as platforms for people to step into knowing, to connect to their own wisdom, their best intentions, and their hopes and dreams.
