My passion is helping people through transitional issues that are causing physical and emotional distress. When you can't seem to get through something on your own, it might be time to have someone by your side to navigate it with you. I will listen to your concerns and help you to develop goals that are meaningful to you. Along the way, I hope to offer insight, tools, and a few laughs. There is room for humor in therapy. I follow a whole health model and incorporate holistic approaches, cognitive behavioral techniques, and action oriented therapies. People meet with me about relationships and family difficulties, career transition, caregiver stress, chronic illness, stage of life issues, traumatic events, and sexual health issues. The best way to see if I am a good fit for you is to contact me.

More Info About My Practice

I've completed more than 200 hours of training focused on sexual health including The University of Michigan Sexual Health Certificate Program in Sex Therapy. This program is a 165 hour, year-long education program addressing psychological, environmental, hormonal, medical and relational facets of sexual health. I enjoy helping people work toward having satisfying, healthy sex lives that meet their needs and desires. I welcome people of all backgrounds, genders, and orientations to my practice.

My Therapy Focus

In addition to counseling services, I offer Sex Therapy and Wellness Coaching. Sex Therapy can address individual or couples' concerns regarding sexuality and sexual health. For example, I help couples explore roadblocks to intimacy, work with individuals questioning their sexual behaviors, help those exploring alternatives to monogamy, and address issues related to changes in sex drive. I work with all individuals and couples no matter their gender identity or sexual orientation.
Wellness Coaching is a collaborative experience designed to support you in achieving your health goals. Common concerns that can be addressed in coaching are stress reduction, weight loss, poor sleep, and smoking cessation. I follow a whole health model that looks at all areas of your well-being.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

I can't blame you. After all, if you've never gone to therapy before, your examples of therapists might only be what you've seen on tv or in the movies. Typically, it seems counselors are portrayed as crossing inappropriate boundaries (i.e. having an outside relationship with their therapist or having the therapist breach confidentiality) or lacking a serious commitment to helping their clients. I continue to cringe when our profession is displayed in this manner. I promise a friendly, respectful and confidential space where you are helped to meet your goals at your pace. Let me know what helps you to feel at ease.
