My Approach to Helping
I am here to be your consistent in a crazy world. I am here to listen with a non-judgmental mind, helping you sort out the chaos, your personal patterns, and help you work towards creating a better world for you and those around you. I am here to hear you, experience the things you experience, and be with you through the difficult times. I am good at catching patterns, helping others see different sides of things than they may originally thought, and help you acknowledge and accept your humanness. We all make mistakes, have difficult times in our lives, and need a little extra help during difficult times. You are still strong and valuable even if you ask for help, and I want to be that help.
More Info About My Practice
Embrace Change Therapy is a small mental health private practice where there are three therapists helping each other help their clients. Alison Maples started Embrace Change Therapy in 2019 wanting to be able to provide counseling, art therapy, and career counseling to professionals that want or need the extra help.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
We are all human, and humans are not perfect. We cannot be expected to know and do everything, that is why we live in groups, in a society. At this point in your life, this is the help you need. You may have needed a plumber yesterday, or someone to look at your car last week. Why not have someone help you with life being difficult?
I do not know everything, and neither do you. But with us meeting and discussing your specific situation, we can work on creating new ways to get through the difficult times. Just because it may seem like a minor problem to others, it is still something you need to work through, and I want to help you get through this difficult time. Let me help, let me be the gym for your mind.
