What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
While there may be a belief by some that therapists "deal with peoples' problems," I actually view my work far differently. I feel highly honored to help and be of service in deep ways and inspire you to create the life you are meant to live. And, by helping you on your life's path, I also live out my life's purpose.
Should we work together, I will meet you exactly where you are, learn and understand your pain, confusion, deepest desires, curiosities, insecurities, as well as your beautiful strengths, essence, and what inspires you. Anticipate an infusion of hope, fresh opportunity, moment-to-moment renewal, and forward movement.
Often, unknowingly we continue patterns that keep us stuck, feeling dark, hopeless, and spiraling downward. Thus, envision being guided away from your patterns and returning back to your light, and connecting with your strength, courage, desires, and passions on the way to creating a fulfilling life.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
I find that those who pursue therapy are far from weak or flawed, and actually are often strong individuals who are ready to take their life into their own hands, heal, and move forward. You are making a wise choice in deciding to seek help on this important life journey, rather than doing it alone.
As a therapist, I have and will continue to do my own work as a lifelong journey. We cannot guide or teach people beyond what we have learned ourselves. So, realize that working on yourself will impact your own life as well as the lives of those around you.
Fortunately, the negative messaging and shame around taking care of our emotionalmental health is evolving into hopefully being a thing of the past. Lovingly attend to your emotionalmental health and well-being as much as to your physical health.
We each can choose to barely exist, to stay in patterns of fear, anxiety, sadness, self-loathing, darkness, etc. Or, via therapy, we give ourselves a voice to state that we want more...a life of abundance in many forms.
