My Approach to Helping

Welcome! I offer counseling services in Fort Collins, Loveland and Boulder, Colorado. An integrative perspective, utilizing a blend of both eastern and western philosophy/modalities, guides my work. Using Art Therapy with Mindfulness and Body-Centered practices along with Guided Imagery and standard Talk Therapy allows clients to engage on all levels, body, mind and spirit. Reiki and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy can also serve a client well depending on their needs.

My approach is warm, gentle, and compassionate, as well as informative, direct, and practical. I work with each person as an individual creating a therapeutic environment that is unique to that person's needs. My clients report that our work together allows them to connect more deeply to themselves and others, to communicate their thoughts and feelings more effectively and clearly with others, to find more stability and joy in their lives through the reduction of negative effects, such as acute and chronic anxiety and depression, and to experience greater self-worth and self-confidence.

If in reading this profile you feel attracted to or are further curious about the work that I do, I welcome your inquiries. Please feel free to call for a complementary phone consultation. Sessions are a full hour and range from $80-$100, depending on financial status. I do not accept insurance, but some insurance companies may reimburse you when you file a claim.

I am a provider for the following agencies: Connections of Larimer County Mental Health, Employment Assistant Services for Poudre Valley School District, Victim Compensation Board of Larimer County, McKee Medical Center Expressive Arts Program, Hopes Lives! Of Fort Collins (www.hopelives.org), Denver Options.

More Info About My Practice

In addition to my private practice, I am the co-founder of the Expressive Arts Program at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, where I facilitate a weekly Art Therapy group, "Soulplay", in the Cancer Center for cancer patients, cancer survivors, and family members. I also conduct weekly Art Therapy sessions at bedside with patients within the Medical Center and facilitate an Open Studio every other week for staff, patients, and family within the Cancer Center lobby.

Most recently, I started "Art, Horses, Healing" Equine-Assisted Counseling Services, providing another alternative to individual and group healing experiences. Fees are $150/per 60 minute hour - this includes an equine specialist present during sessions and payment of stable fees.

I also volunteer weekly at Hearts and Horses, a nonprofit Equine-Assisted Therapy Center in Loveland, Colorado.
