What's My Approach to Therapy?

“Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of nowhere, and sometimes in the middle of nowhere, you find yourself.” – Unknown

Change is an inevitable part of life, and it can sometimes feel uncomfortable and exhausting. In those moments of feeling alone, scared, defeated, stuck, or just ready, counseling can be a powerful way to find relief and rediscover your way forward. Karen Ragland loves to walk alongside people as they learn, adapt, and grow to reach their full potential through all the phases of life. With a wealth of life experience and a deep passion for human connection, Karen offers a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can explore challenges, build resilience, and embrace life with greater confidence and joy.

At Foundations, Karen Ragland specializes in working with a variety of challenges, including:

· Individual Counseling – anxiety, depression, empowerment, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), obsessive compulsion (OCD), substance abuse, confidence building, life transitions, women’s health, menopause, terminal illness, and medical issues

· Growth and Goal-Oriented Counseling – career counseling, grief, loss, illness, leadership development, and assertiveness training

· Children, Adolescents, and Teens – social and relationship problems, school and family issues, anxietydepression, adjustment disorders, self-image, boundary setting, and child play therapy

· Marriage, Relationship and Family Counseling – communication skills, sexuality and intimacy issues, affair recovery, fertility struggles, blended families, parenting, and adjustment to life changes

Karen is a National Certified Counselor.
