Hi. My approach is active and collaborative, flexibly tailoring evidence-based strategies to best meet the needs of clients. I have expertise working with individuals and couples on issues related to strained relationships, traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, anger management, decision making, alcohol/substance use, and insomnia. These problems are often very much related to one another.To each session, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from many years of clinical and research training. Clients bring a lifetime of personal history and experience. Together, we work to understand and resolve the problems you face. I offer counseling/therapy, clinical consultation, and diagnostic evaluation.

I hold a faculty appointment as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, and as a Scientist, in the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS), both at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, MD.
