My Approach to Helping

My style uses patience and kindness to fascilitate client focused goal attainment. Clients choose their own goals, which are changed only at the client's discretion, due to material revealed in treatment. I use a family systems approach to personal and family issues that is non-judgemental. The purpose of such explorations is to uncover inner conflicts so that the client may understand theri behavior and free themselves of unwanted consequences.

More Info About My Practice

12-Step work is encouraged, but not mandatory for addiction issues. Couples therapy focuses on win/win solutions to interpersonal conflict so that the participants may approach these challenges as partners rather than adversaries. I currently have a Women's Support Group that focuses on relationship issues and interpersonal skills training, as well as using family systems theory to help understand ourselves.
