What's My Approach to Therapy?

Our approach to helping is to be supportive, respectful and value you. We are a trauma-focused therapy practice and because of that our focus is "What happened to you?" not "What is wrong with you?" We understand that life is full of challenges. Sometimes traumas, anxiety, depression, anger, relationship issues, bullying, and exploring gender identity prevent us from having the life we want. It limits how we see ourselves, how we interact with others and how we approach the world. Our goal is to help you have the life you want. Your goals are our goals! We use a variety of modalities when working with clients. Some of those modalities are CBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, Mindfulness therapy, Somatic therapy, DBT and IFS. Every client responds to modalities differently; so what works for you might not work for someone else and that is okay. We want to use what works for you! We work with all ages, but specialize in working with pre-teen, teens and the LGBTQ population.
