My Approach to Helping
Here's what I want you to know: It really is as bad as you think. What brought you here is worth your time and energy or it's doubtful you would be here now. My name is Steven Wright, I am a lived experience therapist. I am a LCSW centered out of Georgetown, Texas but I presently serve the Nevada and Texas area remotely. I take a Solutions Focused, Postmodern approach, utilizing my familiarity with ACT, DBT, IFS and AEDP to create a life worth living. If you seek a companion who navigates unconventionally and want someone to help you process what is going on in your life, Book a Session with me!
More Info About My Practice
I provide a candid, liberating, validating and irreverent experience for my clients, centered around self-discovery and creating a life worth living. I attract clients who have grown weary of traditional therapy and want someone honest with them. I know what it's like to manage a personality disorder and how hard it can be to find the right treatment provider when you've finally had the right diagnosis. As a therapist who has experienced trauma, I’ve also heard a lot of smack talk about treating someone with BPD. The stigma I've experienced has fueled my interest in specializing in treating BPD and mood disorders.
We are currently offering individual sessions for only $99. This is perfect for those seeking rapid accelerated change in their sense of self. We specialize in a brief intensive approach that yields results and is customized based on the results of individualized quizzes and assessments. Lastly, I have partnered with Journey Clinical to provide Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. Reach out for more info!
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
When I hear about clients who spend years with a therapist? Just hanging out and talking? I think this is an expensive waste of time. I would rather therapy be brief, intensive, self-led, and effective. I am a fellow traveler who relies on the price of authenticity and I want clients who crave authenticity too. No time for echo chambers or Yes-Men therapy.
