My Approach to Helping
I call my philosophy of therapy Psy-chi. When the flow of energy, or chi, which is the life force of all living things, becomes constricted by fear and doubt, we lose our creativity and faith in ourselves. We become depressed or bored and feel disconnected from family, friends, and co-workers. We also become anxious and agitated and start to experience paranoia or feel that we are not good enough.
We lose our confidence; we lose the best part of ourselves. When this negative energy manifests itself, the mind and body need to be realigned. Disturbances, to me, are about unexpressed energy. I work with the body and mind to bring about the integration you've probably felt when you're in a positive place as opposed to a negative mindset. I work with you to identify and stay with those experiences.
I use psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, Integrated Somatic Therapy, dream interpretation, guided imagery, and life coaching to help you become aware of what is happening in the unfiltered present moment. Coupled with talk therapy, these techniques may address your problems from a multi-dimensional perspective.
