My Approach to Helping
It would have been nice if we were born with the ability to avoid anxiety, depression, or relationship issues. But just like walking, talking, and math, we had to develop skills from somewhere! To me, therapy is a place to learn about ourselves: why we are the way we are, why we do the things we do, and how we can become closer to who we want to be. Unlike calculus, counseling is not a lecture. I believe in a collaborative process, tailored to your specific needs, and using a modality in which you feel comfortable, safe, and heard. This is a judgement-free zone, because I'm not perfect either.
