My Approach to Helping
Welcome and congratulations on taking the next step towards learning more about yourself! My name is Sara Kaylor and I’ve been in the treatment field since 2009, where I began my career as a direct care provider for an adult substance use program. I’ve provided counseling for many different populations in various levels of care, including adults and adolescents struggling from both mental health and substance use concerns in inpatient, residential, and outpatient treatment.
I grew up in North Texas where I received my master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of North Texas in 2013. I’m licensed as both a Professional Counselor and a Chemical Dependency Counselor and have been trained in various trauma-based approaches. I use a multitude of treatment modalities and interventions, including CBT, Mindfulness, Person-Centered, Solution-Focused, and Interpersonal Therapy – but my main goal is to meet you where you are and create individualized goals and interventions to assist getting you to where you want to be. I value the time spent with each client, collaboratively processing through and being a witness to your healing and growing process.
