My Approach to Helping
I specialize in various types of anxiety, including health anxiety, performance anxiety, panic attacks, and social anxiety. I know how distracting and overwhelming anxiety can be, and the impact it might have on your professional and personal life. Through utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), I help clients discover tailor-made ways to not only manage their various anxieties, particularly health anxiety and panic attacks, but to improve their overall level of functioning. I also use psychodynamic approaches to help treat the underlying issues from the client’s past.
Each person is unique, and each story is unique, as such there is no “magic” solution for everyone. Although I view things through CBT andor psychodynamic lens, I often take an integrative approach, utilizing elements from different modalities, which best serve your needs. Through our work together, you will acquire tools and knowledge to build greater self-awareness, reduce the level of anxiety, and improve your overall well-being.
I also specialize in cinema therapy – a powerful tool that supports personal and spiritual growth, allows you to get an inspirational insight, emotional release, and build self-awareness. Either you are working in the entertainment industry, or just love watching movies, it can be used therapeutically.
