My Approach to Helping
Hello and welcome. I meet with clients on the phone or on Zoom and I welcome men and women of all ages and cultures to my practice. Entering into a nurturing therapeutic relationship provides a path to healing, peace of mind, and openings to new growth in your life.
Men and women at all phases of life experience the challenges of anxiety, stress, depression, grief, loss, anger, or the affects of trauma. I'm here to provide the compassion, care, and empowering therapeutic support that you need during these challenging times. I've worked successfully in several professions while pursuing years of education and personal growth work, lived on several continents, and welcome diversity of all kinds in my practice.
I specialize in helping people navigate difficult transitions, particularly at quarter-, mid-, and elder life changes. These include relationship or family issues, making choices around divorce or separation, crises of identity in work or career, empty nest or empty marriage, and processing difficult losses of any kind.
Whether you're feeling lost, lonely, empty or confused, blocked by internal fears or unknown obstacles, or having difficulties with family, at work, or in love, I'll assist you in working through your troubles and healing your emotional wounds in a way that leaves you more connected to yourself and others. With time you'll be more true to your deeper self, identify what matters to you most, and feel more vital and alive, as your life becomes more manageable.
I have a warm, nurturing, interpersonal style and use an integrative approach to therapy, based on both an informed and an intuitive assessment of your situation, accessing primarily humanistic-existential, psychodynamic, depth, somatic, and mindfulness-based approaches.
