My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
I believe the purpose of psychotherapy is not only to ease suffering but also to create a space where people can discover more of who they truly are. At its heart, therapy is a collaborative process, an invitation to explore life's challenges with curiosity and compassion, rather than judgment. It offers a place to untangle patterns, to give voice to unspoken parts of the self, and to strengthen the capacity for authentic connection with oneself and with others. To me, psychotherapy is less about "fixing' and more about accompanying people though the complexity of their stories, helping them uncover resilience, meaning, and the possibility of new choices.
