My Approach to Helping
Research shows that people would rather go through physical pain, rather than experiencing emotional pain. Experiencing a traumatic event can make us feel hopeless, vulnerable and powerless. As we know, we cannot avoid our trauma that causes feelings of pain, guilt, anger and shame; however, we can learn from these emotions. Emotions influence our thinking processes, which can impact perception, memory and reasoning. Take a step in the right direction and clear these barriers of uncertainty. These barriers can prevent us from achieving our personal goals, getting that promotion, or getting that person of your dreams.
My practice is not limited as I work with children, adolescents, adults and couples counseling as I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Affective Therapy and Evidence-based premarital approach. Therapy is my passion, and my greatest specialty is my ability to connect with people. In-home offered.
Let me be the first to congratulate you for your courage. I strive to create a non-judgmental space for clients to explore a trusting and safe environment. Being able to share your story, your pain and your uncertainty makes you a brave individual. Working on improving your mental health is a journey that will provide healing and personal growth.
