My Approach to Helping
As a new Mom life can feel very overwhelming, isolating, exhausting, and uncertain. Your entire world has shifted and you now have not just you to think of but you're newborn. There is so much information out there about how to take care of yourself and your newborn and all this information can create an overwhelming feeling of anxiety, and self-doubt. Your hormones are going through a huge shift, as well as your physical body, your emotional state can feel confusing and you may be thinking you are supposed to be the happiest person having met your child but are feeling a combination of feelings and thoughts of which may be leading to anxiety, depression, and loss of self. I understand it may feel challenging to balance your needs with the needs of your infant as well as your relationship with your partner and you may be uncertain about how to move forward. As your therapist, I will help you work through these spaces. I will be there to hold your hand and support you through those tough moments and create a sacred space for you to feel heard and understood. I will support you in finding clarity on how to support yourself, your infant, and your family. I will empower you to seek self-love, remove the self-doubt, and anxieties from being a new mother and find your confidence as a mother, as a partner, and as a woman in this new stage of your life. I will share tools to deal with the struggles that come up in your daily life, uplift you when you feel lost, and encourage you to find your inner strength. Together we will build insight, make choices from a space of love and clarity, understand more clearly who you are and how to create balance and happiness in this new stage of your life.
