My Approach to Helping
**Accepting New Clients** I am aware of how social and structural systems affect our mood, capacity and self-esteem, in addition to our emotional and physical well-being. My approach is one of deep engagement and inclusion; I acknowledge difference in order to understand the complex challenges of navigating a world that can often be dehumanizing. I work with Individuals who are struggling with anxiety, workplace stress, intrusive thoughts, and grief. If you are a couple challenged with poor communication, lack of trust and co-dependency, I provide strategies to improve relational breakdown and increase relationship satisfaction.
I employ a variety of techniques with a client-centred approach focused on strengths based, attachment informed practice, using relational, motivational interviewing and narrative styles. I have an in-depth understanding of intersections of identity and how these can impact our lived experience. I am also specialized in areas of grief, loss and bereavement.
I am committed to creating a welcoming space where individuals, couples and families can begin to process their personal lived experiences, grief, and family histories. I aim to create a practice that is a safe space, free of judgement, where we can explore challenges and effect change. My practice is inclusive of people who identify as BIPOC and LGBTQ+.
