My Approach to Helping
I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers University, a master’s degree in research psychology from Villanova University, and a PhD in clinical psychology from Northern Illinois University. I provide mental health services at Portrait Health Centers in Vernon Hills, Illinois. I am also employed as a full-time psychologist at the Department of Veterans Affairs. I have provided mental health care in a variety of therapeutic settings including large medical centers, campus clinics, community mental health clinics, human service agencies, rehab centers, county probation departments, intensive outpatient/partial hospitalization programs, and long-term care facilities. .

I help people to address the emotional and behavioral issues that brought them to therapy. In our sessions together I will help you understand your challenges and develop effective strategies to resolve them. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and emphasizes the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I also utilize a range of cutting-edge acceptance-based treatment modalities and provide individualized care for each client so they can experience the best possible outcomes.
