My Approach to Helping
Often suffering makes us feel alone in the world, disconnected from others and ourselves. Therapy empowers us to heal these broken connections. My approach to therapy is guided by my training in Existential Phenomenology, a therapeutic orientation based on the lived experience of the individual and connection to others as foundational to healing. I view the experience of being a person as holistic and unified, focusing on the connections between the self, others, and the world at large. My approach focuses on examining the meaning making we do throughout our lives and empowers the person to be active in this process. This mode of therapy is client centered, meaning I do not have a predetermined plan for our sessions. Instead we will work with what you bring to session each time.
