What's My Approach to Therapy?
I specialize in helping adults who struggle with perfectionism, anxiety, complex trauma, codependency, and grief.
My therapy style is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in systems-oriented psychodynamic work, with additional training in object relations, mindfulness-based self-compassion, and CBT. I grew up in the American South, where cultural fractures and early experiences with loss, addiction, and mental illness shaped my deep respect for boundaries, self-awareness, and the need for ongoing care. In our work together, I offer warmth, honesty, and practical insight to help you untangle old patterns, strengthen your sense of self, and build more connected, fulfilling relationships.
My Practice & Services
I am a licensed mental health counselor with a Master's in Counseling Psychology, and I bring a background in the arts to my practice.
I've been fortunate to serve in this field for ten years, gaining extensive experience providing individual, couple, and family therapy in both community mental health and private practice settings. In addition to my clinical work, I've also had opportunities to mentor therapists in training and those new to the profession, and have engaged in assistant teaching, speaking, and leading workshops.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 15 years in customer relations, sales, design, merchandising, and collaboration with independent artists. Across both creative and clinical settings, a consistent theme has been exploring how people tell the stories of their lives—through art, culture, and personal narrative—and how reframing these stories can be profoundly transformative. This perspective has shaped not only my work but also my own life, and I am grateful to help clients find their voice, strengthen their sense of self, and envision new possibilities through therapy.
