What's My Approach to Therapy?
I began my journey providing applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy by collaborating with school districts and families. I had the opportunity to work with our autistic and attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD) population. Working with the families, I decided to further my education in the field of family dynamics. I graduated from Touro University, earning a master's degree in marriage, family, and couples therapy. Over the years, I focused on expanding access to mental health care and offering improved life for those struggling with mental health conditions. I have an array of specialties, which include working with diverse and underserved populations. I furthered my career by working with juveniles and adult inmates. I provide mental health therapy that focuses on trauma-informed care, anxiety, depression, and adjusting to life changes. I was a part of growing an intensive outpatient company in which we focused on co-occurring conditions for those who struggle with substance use and mental health. While I have experience in many different environments, I am equipped with many treatment modalities, which include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy. My style will offer you comfort, a nonjudgmental, honest, and professional perspective on your treatment. I take a holistic approach to treatment, and my goal is getting you to a place in which you feel whole again. With time, patience, and commitment, anything is possible with a well-seasoned therapist!
