My Approach to Helping

Are you tired of feeling anxious and overwhelmed? Do you find yourself putting others' needs before your own? Maybe you battle with the belief that you're not good enough or perhaps even "too much?" The human experience can feel life a lot, especially with life's unexpected challenges and transitions, both significant and small. I believe that everyone deserves to feel heard and understood. Whether you're dealing with loss, going through a major life change, struggling with your mental health, or just want to understand yourself better, I'm here to help you navigate your personal growth and well-being.

Central to my work is cultivating a strong therapeutic alliance and fostering an accepting, warm space for deeper work. I value collaboration to provide you with the most helpful support. Through a holistic and somatic approach, I tailor sessions to enhance self-awareness and emotional processing, using integrative modalities to address your unique needs.

Let’s work together to create a path towards self-understanding and well-being. I am here to support you every step of the way. As a therapist, my hope is to provide a warm and down-to-earth space where you can be yourself. Seeking therapy takes courage, and I would love to connect with you! Message me to set up a complimentary 20-minute consultation.

More Info About My Practice

The therapeutic relationship is what guides my work, and I am informed by a person-centered, somatic, existential, and IFS lens. However, these are just guiding points. Therapy is not about working within tiny, neat boxes. Our work will be unique and evolving, growing as you grow. I primarily work with adults and have a specialized focus on anxiety, overwhelm, life transitions, adult ADHD, trauma, and serving the LGBTQIA+ community. I also believe that advocacy is an essential part of mental health treatment. I also work through a systemic lens and wholeheartedly embrace a body acceptanceneutrality and Health at Every Size approach.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I understand the feeling of being stuck and yearning for more in life. I have personally experienced the weight of my past and the disconnection from my true self. I empathize with the challenges of change and the discomfort that can arise from challenging internalized beliefs and confronting life's difficulties.

During my early life, I struggled with people-pleasing and conforming to others' expectations, facing limiting beliefs, trauma, and self-esteem issues. Therapy became a powerful tool for self-acceptance and transformation.

Having benefited from therapy myself, I am passionate about guiding others on their journey of self-discovery. I have witnessed firsthand the profound changes that can occur within a supportive therapeutic relationship, fostering curiosity and growth.
