My Approach to Helping
Do you feel overwhelmed by a life transition? Do you want a more peaceful relationship with your anxiety? Do you struggle with existential dread or grief? Maybe you feel like you can’t locate your real voice. And yet, you want to connect to a deeper sense of self and don’t want to keep sacrificing your own needs and desires. You might be here because you want to cultivate better coping skills or a place to tend to your emotional well-being. Wherever you are on your journey, you deserve to feel seen and heard. I’m here to help you uncover your true self with curiosity and self-compassion.
Having overcome my own obstacles in life, I value providing an inclusive, down-to-earth space where clients can show up exactly as they are. I use an integrated and relational approach in my work and understand that each client comes with their own unique lived experience. My goal is to support you in creating a more manageable and meaningful life.
My work is rooted in person-centered, somatic, existential, narrative, and IFS modalities. But those are just guiding points. Therapy isn’t about working within tiny, neat boxes. Our work will be unique and evolving. It will grow as you grow. I primarily work with adults, and I have a specialized focus in life transitions, trauma, women’s issues, and serving the LGBTQIA+ community. I also believe advocacy is an essential part of mental health treatment- I work through a social justice lens, and I wholeheartedly embrace a Health at Every Size approach.
