My Approach to Helping

Have you tried traditional talk therapy and you're still struggling with the same problems? Why cope with a problem if you can heal it at its core? My strength is in helping people discover and heal the true root causes of their issues. These may be hidden and not obvious, yet they may still affect you every day. My goal is your transformation. I don't want you to leave my care and have to talk to another therapist about the same problems.

Your troubling feelings, thoughts, and behaviors likely stem from your past experiences. From these experiences, you developed patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. I'll help you work backward, from your current troubles to their source. I'll then guide you to use highly innovative techniques to heal what we discover - troubling memories and unhelpful patterns.

The tools I use enable people to neutralize even highly traumatic memories. The memories remain, but they feel more distant and no longer trigger the same painful reactions. Your patterns of thinking and behaving can be healed with the same techniques. The process is gentle and strengthening and my expectation is that you'll experience positive shifts during our sessions. Plus, you'll learn to use these healing techniques on your own so you'll gain invaluable lifelong skills.

I am happy to provide a free consultation so we can determine if I am a good match for your needs - please email or call to set up an appointment to talk. You may also wish to check out reviews of my services on Healthgrades.com.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

Many people put off starting therapy. They imagine it's going to be uncomfortable to discuss their problems and their painful past. It?s also scary to invest your hope in this process? people fear therapy might not work and they?ll be even more disappointed and hopeless. If you can relate to this, I can help you release these fears and the relief you?ll feel will be evidence that this approach to change is powerful, it will work for you, you can take this leap with more confidence.

Groups I Work With

Having run a public mental health clinic and a partial hospitalization program, I have deep and broad experience. I’m particularly effective in helping people whose current problems are rooted in their history, especially their childhood. I help people rapidly and gently release the emotional pain and cognitivebehavioral habits that we carry from difficulties in our past with the goal of remarkable, life-changing shifts.

I think I might be a great choice for you:
If you had a parent who was frequently angry, critical, withholding of love, or conditionally loving…
If you suffered abuse, neglect, or abandonment…
    If you were bullied…
If you felt inferior, inadequate, unworthy
If you currently feel anxious, over-whelmed
If you feel empty, dissociated, sad.

I’m happy to consult with you about how my approach might be helpful in your specific situation.
