My Approach to Helping

I enjoy helping you achieve a happier state of mind, empowering you to move forward with your life, and creating kind and compassionate beliefs about yourself in order to appreciate your own unique sense of value and worth. If you are facing challenges in: PTSD, Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Low Self-Esteem, Anger Management, Toxic Shame, and Wounded Emotional Boundaries, I welcome the opportunity to work with you, to bring about the change you want to see in your life.

A few words spoken by my clients, “You have changed my life forever. I am so thankful I have found you...” “Because of you, I now give myself permission to be happy...” “I was so stuck, and I now I see a way forward..."

I specialize in EMDR, to help you move past trauma and pain. I work with CBT and other therapies to help you discover your internalized negative beliefs and help you create more adaptive positive beliefs. I help you resolve any issues you may be facing, and I make sure you get the coping tools you need to move forward with your life.

I believe that people can grow and make positive changes in their lives to reach their full potential and I help people see their strengths and beauty from within themselves.

More Info About My Practice

Madeleine helps you to:

• discover how Anxiety presents itself to you; learn what your physical manifestations and your emotional triggers are; learn what your cycle of Anxiety is, and how to shift and change it; learn how to challenge and change negative thoughts and beliefs that cause anxiety; identify what feelings you are avoiding or invalidating and how to recognize and process them; learn your root cause of anxiety and how to work through it using specific strategies and coping skills; communicate your feelings, wants, and needs in an assertive way; learn how to grow into your ideal future self.

• build, strengthen, and maintain your Self-Esteem; learn unconditional self-acceptance; learn ways we give power away; learn how to communicate your feelings, needs and wants; learn how to understand your emotions, and learn how to enable yourself to pursue your dreams and goals.

• help you understand what your Emotional Boundaries are; know what the differences between unclear, unhealthy, rigid, damaged and no boundaries are; recognize how you learn boundaries; know what the consequences of damaged boundaries are; learn what the guidelines for setting boundaries are; understand how you develop healthy boundaries; understand how you maintain your boundaries; understand how you communicate your boundaries; and what healthy boundaries look like.

• recognize your symptoms of Depression such as emotional symptoms, physical symptoms, behavioural symptoms, and cognitive symptoms. Discover what is causing your depression such as biological factors, psychological factors, environmental factors, and disconnection factors. Learn how to reconnect with your inner positive dialogue, people, meaningful work, meaningful values, ways to acknowledge and overcome childhood trauma, and how to restore hopefulness for your future.

• recognize your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and behaviours associated with Anger; recognize what your areas of hidden anger are; learn how you can communicate through anger; recognize your triggers when your emotional boundaries are violated; learn tools to control and work through your anger.

• understand your Shame and work with you to show you how you can build your shame resilience; recognize your shame triggers; learn about your unwanted identities; understand what your shame screens look like, and why you have them.

• repair relationships with specific tools learning how to effectively communicate, safely resolve conflict, express appreciation, express feelings and needs, understand unrealistic expectations and faulty relationship beliefs, understand healthy differentiation, how to build deeper connections, and what to do to heal from an affair.
