My Approach to Helping

As human beings, we are all complex. We have our own trauma, life experiences, and stories. When life overwhelms us, we can often feel ashamed to seek help - like something is wrong with us if we do. When you take that first step in reaching out, I will meet you where you are to help facilitate your journey to growth and healing. Providing a safe space and an authentic, non-judgmental approach, I integrate a collaborative approach with clients to help them reach their goals.

My areas of focus are anxiety, depression, identity, self-esteem, and life transitions among others. I also offer cultural competency and a safe space to BIPOC and biracial clients who want to navigate struggles with mental health, cultural identity, intergenerational trauma, and more. I can offer a warm, compassionate approach using CBT, DBT, ACT, Attachment and other techniques that give insight into maladaptive relationship patterns, thought patterns, and behaviors. Together, we can tackle forming healthier habits and focus on your future growth.

If you’re feeling stuck in any way - from coping with trauma to feeling stuck in life to wanting healthier relationships - your struggles are valid. I'll walk through whatever journey you're on with you, and help facilitate a journey toward balance and wellness. You shouldn’t have to go through this alone. Call me at 657-217-2087 and I'll return your call within 24 hours.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I truly, and genuinely, love helping facilitate others' journeys toward their unique goals. I love to see them doing well and making steps toward growth. It can be really hard to try and undo old, unhealthy habits you've had for so long, or navigate this complicated world during not only a pandemic, but day-to-day. Sometimes we are not equipped with ways to adequately cope -- I love giving my clients tools they can use to live their best lives, as well as a space for self-discovery and self-exploration. The most important thing is developing a secure relationship with the client, so they ultimately come to think of our time together as their safe space--where they can be their most authentic self.
