I am an expert in treating sexual addiction and couples struggling with betrayal trauma. Are you overwhelmed by infidelity, betrayal, or sex addiction? I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and have over 15 years of experience helping individuals and couples impacted by betrayal and sex addiction. I help couples, and individuals overcome the devastating impact of betrayal trauma to help them heal their relationship, restore trust and thrive in connection. I am the Host of the top-rated podcast The Addicted Mind podcast, which focuses exclusively on the impact of addiction. I will collaborate with you to reach toward healing from the impact of betrayal, and if you are the betrayer, I can help restore your integrity and help your partner heal from the effects of betrayal trauma.

My Practice & Services

Growing up in both the United States, South Africa, and Canada has given me a unique insight into, and passion for understanding, how we communicate and connect with each other. It has been a big motivator for me in co-founding Novus Mindful Life Institute. We passionately believe that everyone deserves to live a healthy and fulfilling life. I have extensive training as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals. I have the experience, knowledge, and skills to successfully help people struggling with sexual addiction as well as the impact of betrayal on partners and couples.

The role of the therapist isn't to fix people but rather to give them new information so they have control over their lives - this way, we'll be able to make better decisions in order to produce healing from both mental health issues as well external factors such as trauma and addiction.

I focus primarily on couples struggling with the overwhelming impact of sexual betrayal. I help individuals trying to rebuild trust in the relationship understand what steps to take and how to understand the impact this kind of betrayal can have on their partner.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

The therapeutic process for an individual or couple can last from a few months to several years depending on the client and the matters at hand. Gaining perspective, learning new skills and practicing healthy behaviors takes time and effort. Sessions once or twice a week help clients get started and may eventually lessen to once or twice a month as progress is made.
