My Approach to Helping

Hello and Welcome. Maybe you’re overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, feeling misjudged or pressured to behave in ways that don’t feel authentic or healthy, chronic pain, a harsh inner critic, a big life transition, or relationship distress. Maybe you’re not totally sure what you’re dealing with or why you think, feel, and do what you do, but you know you want things to change. I offer a nurturing, curious, intuitive & compassionate presence, an unwavering belief in my clients' abilities to heal and transform, and interventions that engage the wisdom and healing powers of the imagination, body, emotions, mind, & spirit.

Using discussion, active imagination, pattern mapping, dream exploration, writing, mindfulness and guided meditation practices, play, art-making, role-playing, dancemovement, or any combination of these, I will help you meet your present-moment thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and beliefs with curiosity, patience, and compassion, look at how they developed and any patterns you are struggling with, and negotiate change.

I believe in the power of relationships to heal and that isolation is at the root of suffering. A therapeutic relationship is a good place to start transforming unhealthy relationships and reintegrating repressed or rejected parts of the self. I would love to serve as your empathic witness and guide as you undertake this challengingrichly rewarding work.

More Info About My Practice

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am working with clients exclusively via Telehealth at this time. My office hours are from 10 AM - 7 PM Monday through Friday.

Once I feel it is safe to resume in-person therapy, I will return to seeing clients at my Ballard office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. For clients who are interested in Telehealth-only therapy, I have openings on Tuesdays and Fridays.
