My Approach to Helping
My approach is warm, but always direct and honest. I help you cultivate connections in your work, relationships, and with yourself. I empower you with tools that change what doesn't work and help you build a life you love. I help you understand the influence your past has on your present, while boosting your capacity for intimacy. I value optimism, truth, and authenticity.
I am trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), the trauma resiliency model, and mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral therapy (MBCBT). I regularly integrate these tools into my work.
I work with people experiencing sex addiction, anxiety, and the aftereffects of trauma, as well as those facing a relationship crisis or struggling with dating. I also specialize in helping people manage career transitions and challenges. I draw upon my own experience, inspiring clients to make career changes, move through self-doubt, manage stress, and realize their full potential.
More Info About My Practice
I typically see clients for 50-minute sessions once per week, but alternative arrangements and longer sessions are sometimes scheduled based on the nature of the work. For instance, EMDR sessions are often extended sessions. My fee for a 50-minute session is $180. In some instances, I offer sliding scale options. I accept cash, checks and credit cards. My cancellation policy is 24-hours notice in order to avoid being charged the session fee.
I do not bill insurance directly, but often provide my clients with superbills for them to submit to their insurance companies for reimbursement.

My Role as a Therapist
I believe in every person's inherent strength and ability to heal. As your therapist, I believe it is ultimately my job to help you reconnect with yourself, your values and your own wisdom. Together, we will sort through the things that block your access to this part of yourself and help you to start taking actions that move you toward the life you want to be living.
