My Approach to Helping

It can be frustrating when we feel stuck, unhappy, or numb and want to make some changes in our lives. We all face challenges and sometimes we need extra support to help us find our way through those times. Counselling can address specific concerns or it can be used for personal growth and development. I provide a holistic and collaborative approach to work with you to address your unique concerns and circumstances so you can create meaningful growth and lasting change in your life.

I specialize in: trauma recovery (PTSD), accident recovery (MVA), grief and loss, anxiety, depression, anger management, self-esteem, stress management, and self-improvement. I am certified in grief and loss recovery, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), radical exposure tapping, field traumatology, and compassion fatigue recovery.

Finding a therapist who is a good fit is important so I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation before you decide to book. I aim to approach your concerns in a way that aligns with your outlook on life. I offer 247 online booking on my website for weekend, evening, or weekday appointments at www.khspsychology.com. I look forward to meeting you.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

Sometimes, I meet with clients who had less than helpful experiences in therapy and are understandably apprehensive about seeking further help. I work from a collaborative, strength-based approach of which I ask for regular (honest) feedback to make sure that you are receiving the support that you want and need. Your time is important and I respect that your sessions are for you to get the most out of our time together. You can contact me for a consultation before making a decision to book with me and we can discuss your questions or concerns. I am looking forward to speak with you.
